Believers often talk about having a strong faith, but how is that faith built, line upon line, and precept upon precept?

Key #1: Build your life upon the strongest of foundations.
Jesus gives us clear directions on how to establish a strong Christian life. He says,

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. (Luke 6:47-49)

Sinners and believers alike are in the construction business; yet it is our decision on how the dwelling will be built. You can make the right choice by building your life upon Jesus Christ through spending time in His Word and staying in His presence.

Don't be deceived. God's Word states there is only one strong rock on which to build your life. His name is Jesus. “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 3:11).

Key #2: Get under an anointed ministry.
The anointing is contagious. Wherever it may be, whoever it may be, be ready to receive it. Every day, in my own life, I continually listen to anointed ministry recordings and read books by great men and women of God.

Why? I need fresh oil to be poured on me from the Lord Himself, and from His anointed servants.

I make no apology for the fact that Kathryn Kuhlman was a great influence on my life as a young minister. And even today, I often play a cassette of one of her services and can feel that same anointing. I am lifted into the very presence of the Lord.

I continue to read books about Wesley, Moody, Finney, and the great preachers of history, for this keeps the fire of revival burning within me as my faith is strengthened every day!

Key #3: Develop a strong prayer life.
God desires to spend time with you, just as He longs for you to desire to be in His presence. To be in His presence, however, requires for you to be totally transparent, and as you lay yourself open to Him, your faith is strengthened.

This is one of the great keys to unlocking the anointing in your life every day!

The Word says:

Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. (Ecclesiastes 5:1-2)

The Lord does not respond to you or strengthen you because of your excellent vocabulary or words of knowledge. He pours out His anointing and directs your steps because He sees a heart that truly longs to know Him.

The psalmist said, “The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.” (Psalm 145: 18). Strive to allow your prayer life reflect the simplicity and honesty He demands. You will be stronger for it!

Key #4: Receive a fresh infilling every day.
It is wonderful to think about the times in your life when God came and touched you in a special way. What about today? Is the fire still burning within you? Are you growing stronger every day? Is God continuing to give you revelation knowledge?

The anointing from above is your source of knowledge and wisdom. It positions you to operate in revelation rather than in education—in His strength, rather than your own.

Remember, "the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things...abide in Him” (1 John 2:27).

If you want to be strong, get under His outpouring. Don't be a bystander as God does His work. When the Lord begins to pour out His blessing, stand beneath the flow and be drenched from head to toe.

The Lord wants you to become as strong as steel that is forged in the fire—aglow with His Spirit. He desires that you come alive again by the touch of His mighty hand. “Let thy head lack no ointment.” (Ecclesiastes 9:8).

Today, you and your faith can be strengthened as never before!

Our Day of Prayer for Your Breakthrough Faith to Be Strengthened
In addition to encouraging you to be strengthened in the faith, I'm also writing to you today to let you know that God has led me to designate September 26 as our special Day of Prayer for a Miracle Breakthrough. A group of ministers and intercessors and our Mighty Warriors Prayer Army from around the globe will be joining with you in prayer, lifting up your needs in agreement to the Lord.

This will be a powerful time, and we know that amazing things happen when God's people move into His principles of agreement and intercession!

And along with your prayer request, be sure to take the step of faith by planting your most generous seed toward the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As you obey His precious Word and give to His glorious Gospel, He promises in His Word that He will increase you “on every side” (Psalm 71:21).

You are the apple of God's eye. He wants you to “be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” (Psalm 1:3).

He wants you to be strong!

He wants you to be prosperous in all that you do!

We know it is “not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6)...
